Ann Gillespie, who plays Erin Silver and Kelly Taylor’s mom, Jackie Taylor, on 90210 has become an Episcopal priest in real life. Gillespie’s father is a retired Episcopal priest, she earned her divinity degree in 2007.
The 51-year-old says she got an e-mail from a Beverly Hills 90210 fan who said she’d go to church just to meet her. Gillespie says she thought, “Whatever it takes to get them in the door.”
The actress made an appearance on the new 90210 as Kelly and Erin’s recovering addict mother. Talk about the actor being complete opposite of the character!
Shannen Doherty recently told reporters she would love for former co-star Brian Austin Green to return to the new 90210.
She said:
Oh gosh, Brian Austin Green! I adore Brian, and Brian and I have always had a really good, strong relationship. The only thing about bringing him to 90210 is that I wouldn’t want him not on The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He is so good and it’s one of my favorite shows. So I want him back really badly, but at the same time, I love watching that show and I love watching him in it.
Brian played David Silver in Beverly Hills 90210 and was in the entire series until the series final. Since his and Kelly Taylor’s half-sister Erin Silver is part of the new gang, there would definetly be a part for him in the storyline.
But…if David were to return it would be strange for Donna Martin (Tori Spelling) not to be on the show since they married in the final episode.
In the new 90210, Kelly Taylor’s mother, Jackie Taylor, has apparently fallen off the wagon and gone back to her past ways of drinking and drugging. Kelly has decided to take in her half-sis Erin Silver, a.k.a Silver, while Jackie gets herself together.

Ann Gillespie who played Kelly Taylor’s recovering addict mother, Jackie Taylor on Beverly Hills 90210 is returning to the new 90210. This makes perfect sense since Kelly is going to be a featured character on the show - maybe Jackie will befriend Tabitha Mills, who is the central character, Annie Mills’ Grandmother.
There are rumors too that one of the students will be Erin Silver, the half sister of Kelly, since of the new characters is nicknamed ‘Silver’. That would be so cool and would totally tie everything together!

I've been defending the spin off tooth and nail to the haters but if they do this, I am officially DONE with the show, they have no right to do something so permanent to the original series. It was Daren Star and Aaron Spelling's creation.
Dean can find his own projects. He just does not fit the whole 90210 vibe. I love their reality show, but i am not feeling him on this one
