September 25, 2008

Wild child Shannen Doherty admitted in an articly recently to crashing a Corvette on the set of Beverly Hills 90210. Not only did she drive the car without permission, but she let co-star Ian Zierring take the blame for the wreck. “Ian was so sweet he took the blame for it.”

“I wanted to drive the Corvette so badly. We took it and I went too fast and hit this bump and it bottomed out,” explained Shannen.

Ian Ziering Teams With ‘Connect To Care’

August 25, 2008

Beverly Hills 90210 alum Ian Ziering is teaming up with ‘Connect to Care’, a new online community that offers help and advice to caregivers.

It’s great that Ian is reaching out and doing something important, similar to his character Steve on 90210 - who helped with children’s charities and also served community service at a nursing home.

Ian was drawn to the project because he knows first hand what it’s like to be a caregiver. With the help of older brothers Barry and Jeff, Ian was the primary caregiver for his father Paul, who suffered from kidney failure and passed away recently.

The website, open to both professional and personal caregivers, offers informational resources and a user forum for members to share stories and lend support to one another.

Brian Austin Green Says 90210 ‘Could Suck Terribly’

August 12, 2008

Brian Austin Green seems to think the new 90210 has a 50/50 chance of making it. “I’m curious to see what people think,” Green said. “[The new '90210'] could be good. Or it will suck terribly. I have a lot to look forward to. ‘Terminator’ new episodes on Mondays at 8, and new ‘90210′ on a night at a certain time. I’ll plug both, why not? I should get paid by the other one, though.”

Seems like the men of Beverly Hills 90210 won’t be returning at all (at least not until 90210 becomes a huge hit.) Jason Priestly has already commented on not returning, “I think I sort of ran the gamut with Brandon — 249 episodes. I think Brandon did his time.”

Luke Perry is currently busy filming Law and Order: SVU, and said he doesn’t see a storyline for Dylan McKay to return to the series.

Ian Ziering, aka Steve Sanders, has also said he’s not interested in returning to 90210 - saying it would be a step backwards.

Ian Ziering Not Insterested In The New 90210

August 12, 2008

Ian Ziering says he’s not interested in joining the rest of the Beverly Hills 90210 cast in the new 90210 series.

Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty are already set to join the cast.

“It’s not really where my career goals are focused right now,” Ziering, who played Steve Sanders on hit show, told People Magazine.  “I’m really looking down the line pretty far and this might be a step backwards.”

Ian Ziering most recently competed in Dancing With The Stars, and is set to star in National Lampoon’s 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas.

“You know, Steve Sanders lives on in our hearts and in our minds,” says Ziering. “I think that it’s fantastic they’re trying to recapture some of the excitement that 90210 brought to a decade,” says Ziering. “I wish them all the best of luck.”

Do YOU think Ian Ziering should return to 90210?
